Reach out to the Dholuo People
New project for 2026
To God be the glory: most of the groundwork among the people has been laid. Six congregations already established and an evangelistic outreach has also begun in another area among the hunters, where there are no churches.
If the Lord wills, we will soon launch a Christian school called “Eagles Nest Kenya”. We plan to start small and modestly with one pre-school class at Pastor Elias Auma’s small Ugunja congregation.
The work and vision that the Lord has released to us in this season has raised the standard and needs considerably, and we trust in His continued guidance and provision.
We request your earnest continued prayers and support as we enter this new phase. As in previous seasons, we still have a specific need for Solar Audio Bibles from MegaVoice, which are invaluable in reaching those who struggle with reading or who live in areas with no or limited electricity.
In addition, we have the following practical needs:
⚫ One-way airfare from Johannesburg (OR Tambo) to Nairobi.
⚫ Financial provision to purchase a reliable vehicle in Kenya for ministry trips and outreach.
It is our humble request that you join us in prayer and seek the Lord’s guidance on what and when to contribute. It is obvious that much funding is needed for this work now, but we trust and pray together that our Heavenly Father will release at the right time what He has already prepared for His purposes.
Philippians 4:19-20 AFR53
19 And my God will supply all your need richly according to His glory in Christ Jesus. [20] To our God and Father be the glory forever.
We would also greatly appreciate it if you would support us and the six already established “Journey to Heaven” congregations in Siaya County, Kenya, in prayer—the pastors, their wives, and the congregations under their care:
Ugunja congregation, Pastor Elias Ouma Seven, Wife: Angelica Ouma
Nairobi congregation, Pastor Thomas Ogutu, Wife: Judith Okoth
Alwala congregation, Pastor Nelson Atinga Kombo, Wife: Linet Adhiambo Atinga
Ruambwa congregation, Pastor Vincent Ogola Owino, Wife: Eunice Akinyi Ogola
Riat congregation, Pastor Samuel Opiyo, Wife: Hellen Opiyo
Sangla congregation, Pastor Peter Ogutu, Wife: Millicent Ogutu
May the Lord strengthen them, protect them, and make their ministry bear abundant fruit to His glory.
Thank you again for your faithful involvement in the Gospel. We appreciate your prayers beyond words, and we look forward to to be able to report regularly, of God’s faithfulness and share it with you as we move forward.
In Christ,
Bennie Malan Marlene Malan
Background – Outreach in 2025
Bennie Malan is a full-time missionary. A slave of Jesus Christ. He was not appointed by men or any human authority, but by Jesus Christ himself – by the Father who raised Jesus from the dead, to be a missionary for His children in Africa.
His calling is built on the following scriptures:
“2 TIMOTHY 2:1-5 and
2 TIMOTHY 4:1-5″
On December 16, 2000, early in the morning, at 3 am, he was called. Bennie was in serious, deep prayer and felt an urgency in his spirit to hear from God what He wanted him to do. The Lord immediately spoke to him in a clear voice. He was amazed because he immediately knew that it was the Lord who was speaking to him.

The Lord made it very clear where his focus should be, and that was to equip the independent church leaders – the leaders in remote rural communities of Africa.
He believes it is an undeniable fact that evangelism and discipleship are essential parts of mission outreach.
Bennie has a passion for sharing the Good News of the Gospel with the unreached masses in rural areas of Africa.
By God’s loving grace, Bennie and Marlene got married.
Marlene and Bennie went on a road trip and visited all the people he had worked with over the years in SA and some of the people he had met in ministry. They worked together for the Lord for 3 years before they got married on 13 June 2024. Her heart beats just as hard for Evangelism and the love for Jesus Christ as his.
They are planning their next mission outreach for the end of July to Kenya, and for this, he thought it wise to take some of MegaVoice’s solar-charged Audio Bibles with them. Since many of these people can not read or write, they thought it was a great idea to take the living, audible Word of God in their language, namely Dholuo, with them.

Therefore, we ask in the name of Jesus Christ for donations that will be used to purchase these Bibles for this mission. The cost of one of these Bibles is R550.
If our Father presses it on your heart to contribute to His kingdom, we would truly appreciate it. For just like us, these people do not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.
Our sincere thanks and Jesus’ love to each of you.
