Hey brother, I am a missionary in Lesotho, and we met many years ago. We’ve purchased several audio Bibles from you over the years, and I would like to express my sincere gratitude. They have been a great blessing to many, especially to one family in particular. They have lived a hard life, but every time we visit them, they are listening to God’s word and smiling with joy! Thanks again

Samburu people need the Word of God. They need to know about Jesus.
Partner with us to make more audio Bibles available to our partners, churches, evangelists, and missionaries to reach the Samburu people.
The Samburu People of Northern Kenya
The Samburu people are a semi-nomadic pastoralist community residing in northern Kenya, closely related to the Maasai and sharing the Maa language. Their identity and traditions are deeply linked to cattle and community life. While some Christian denominations and missionary efforts have been active in the region, including the establishment of a few churches and outreach programs, the majority of the population still adheres to traditional beliefs.
Livestock and Daily Life
Livestock such as cattle, goats, sheep, and camels are central to Samburu identity, wealth, and survival. Herding provides food, trade, and strengthens community bonds. The people are predominantly Animistic, worshipping God and sacrificing to him on Mount Nyiro. This is seen as a place of ancestral meaning.
Challenges Faced
Despite their enduring spirit, the Samburu face significant challenges that impact their well-being, including high rates of illiteracy due to limited access to education in remote areas, exacerbated by nomadic lifestyles and poverty that prioritise herding over schooling, particularly for girls who often drop out early. Many Samburu communities face limited healthcare and clean water. Recurring droughts pose a threat to both families and livestock, while cultural and economic pressures significantly impact daily life. Child marriage remains prevalent in most communities, driven by cultural norms and financial pressure.

Why MegaVoice audio Bibles?
The spiritual framework of the Samburu, often expressed in ceremonies like circumcision and elder-led invocations, fosters a connection to the environment and community. Their lack of Christ, however, results in spiritual depravity, and they need Him, the gospel, and the teachings of the scripture for eternal life and help on how to live God honouring lives. There is a clear spiritual and practical need for deeper Christian outreach, discipleship, and the availability of Scripture in their native language. Many Samburu people have limited access to printed Scripture, and literacy is often low. MegaVoice audio Bibles allow the Gospel to be heard in their own language, wherever they are. Christianity has only recently been introduced to them in the area.

Will You Help Bring God’s Word to the Samburu?
Our partner in Kenya, Missionary Mick Alley, sent us his request for our MegaVoice audio Bibles. He says, “The greatest need for us is the MegaVoice audio Bible with God’s Word in the heart language of the people. There are over tens of thousands of illiterate people in the area where we work where we have not yet been able to provide an audio Bible. The Word of God really makes a difference to these people. Those elders we were able to give an audio Bible to, are truly thankful and full of joy. Since they received the Word of God, their relationship with God has grown stronger, and their lives are now guided by His truth. With over 15000 people in the area and only about 300 audio Bibles distributed so far, there is still much opportunity and need for many more audio Bibles. Can you please help?”
If projects are oversubscribed or change, then gifts will be reallocated to a similar project or where most needed.
The Word of God must go forth for all peoples to hear. Keep proclaiming it! God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in Him. Romans 15:13

The answer is YES! The landscape in Africa is changing and the Word of God makes the difference.
This morning a pastor in Malawi wrote on a social media chat platform: —- Johan (MegaVoice): I am on the way to attend a Bible Society Forum in Fiji Peter (Missionary in Malawi): Ok, good news but don’t forget us in your prayers because our big needs are Bibles and we have people who don’t know how to read and write Those people must also consideration to give those in Fiji audio Bibles if you can find donors’ help. Johan: Yes, we keep praying and the Lord is faithful. We appreciate donations. Peter: Our ministry is going on well by the Lord’s grace and we still pray for audio Bibles that’s our big needs —
This conversation confirms the need. Peter received audio Bibles to assist in his ministry a few years ago.
As we speak in Dar es Salaam we are preparing Maasai audio Bibles in Tanzania. A shipment of Swahili Bibles arrived and it will be forward it to the missionary near Arusha. In Uganda, we are loading audio Bibles with New Testaments in Juba Arabic. Our Media Centre in Ethiopia is preparing a quote for audio Bibles going to a hospital. In the South African office, we are finishing translating, recording, and processing sermons to be loaded on audio players along with the Bible. In the MegaVoice office in South Africa, we are also preparing Audio bibles going to Northern Mozambique.
It has an effect because testimonies of changed lives are received regularly. Partners repeat their orders with growing numbers of units and they refer others to us!
Please pray and support us. We are thankful that we have received more donations in 2024 than in 2023, but the need in Africa is huge www.megavoice.africa
We now have 600 languages with the complete BibleAudio Bibles are being loaded in a guest house in Malawi.
